Every community is a puzzle made of many pieces — donors, volunteers, nonprofits, neighbors. When your company runs a United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley workplace campaign, your team becomes one of those pieces, and the picture gets a little more complete.

You're not just raising money. You're fueling change right here at home. Every pledge strengthens the local network of nonprofits that receive United Way Impact Grants — funding programs that provide shelter, food, healthcare, education, and financial stability across our region.

Over the past five years, workplace giving campaigns have helped United Way NSV invest more than $2.5 million directly into local nonprofits through Impact Grants. These funds have strengthened organizations across Winchester, Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah, and Page counties — supporting everything from emergency shelter and mental health care to early learning and home repair.

Because of the generosity of local employers and their teams, more than 50 community programs now serve thousands of Valley residents each year.

Your team's support becomes the backbone of programs run by trusted partners like Concern Hotline, Response Inc., Family Promise of the Winchester Area, and Shenandoah Community Health Clinic, among others. Together, these organizations create stability and hope for families across the Valley... each one another piece of the same puzzle.

Not Ready for a Full Campaign? You Can Still Be a Piece of the Puzzle.

If your team isn't ready to host a full workplace campaign, you can still make an impact by hosting a fundraising event and donating the proceeds to United Way NSV. From jeans days and chili cook-offs to golf tournaments and raffles, every creative effort helps strengthen the Valley we all share. This way, you can still be involved... every piece counts.

Not every company is ready to run a workplace campaign, and that's okay. There's more than one way to be part of the picture.

Sponsorship lets your business invest directly in United Way NSV's work across the Valley, put your name behind real local impact, and show your customers and community that you're a partner in building something stronger together.

Ways to Sponsor

  • Event Sponsor — Put your company's name behind a United Way NSV event, annual meeting, or Day of Caring, with recognition across event materials, signage, and promotion.
  • Program Sponsor — Direct your support toward a specific focus area — Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, or Community Resiliency — and see exactly where your investment lands. Or help us sponsor Campaign for Grade Level Reading and Leyendo Juntos . We also are a partner in the T.H.R.I.V.E program.
  • In-Kind Sponsor — Donate goods, services, meeting space, printing, food, or professional expertise in place of a cash gift. In-kind support keeps overhead low and stretches every dollar further.
